The CM Active are newly developed active monitors which are the perfect complement to the Caruso, transforming it into a full-size Hi-Fi system.

Although these loudspeakers look extremely compact, their net volume is quite considerable. This is possible because most of the cabinet is made of aluminium, which produces a very strong, rigid structure with relatively thin walls. Over recent decades T+A has proved the sound advantages of genuine fully active speakers with impressive results in the tradition of the Solitaire and TCI active loudspeakers, and they have also incorporated this expertise in the CM Active.

Each driver unit of the two-way speaker is driven by its own direct-coupled high quality output stage with a continuous power of more than 70 Watts. These power amplifiers offer superb sound quality, while the sophisticated active cross-over units linearise the frequency response and expand the low bass. A high-performance mains unit ensures superb peak handling characteristics even at elevated volume levels. The high-quality driver units are perfectly matched to the cabinets, and generate an extraordinarily dynamic and powerful sound image with an impressively deep bass. Of course, the CM Active speakers also harmonise well with any other pre-amplifier.
