Chic, functional and eco-friendly: SunBRELLI is all the rage in NYC's fashion scene, the first fully biodegradable and yet most beautiul umbrella in the world!

The SunBRELLI is sustainably made from bamboo, a renewable resource, and features a unique, patent-pending biodegradable clear canopy. This canopy offers vision, superior protection from the elements, and is a bright an brilliant evolutionary leap forward from the dark and damp alternative. Unlike conventional umbrellas it withstands heavy downpours and high winds; furthermore it is beautiful and durable.

SunBRELLI is available in two sizes: a beautiful 37'' diameter 'small' version, and a lavish 52''. I comes with a matching pouch made of strong 100% bio-cotton.

SunBRELLI not only serves as an umbrella: Its biological skin is equipped with a UV protective layer and smoke coloured - the perfect parasol. Hence the SunBRELLI makes itself useful on the beach as well and protects (bio)logically from sunburns.

The SunBRELLI is a sustainable product through and through and was awarded the 'materialvision' Design Plus award 2009). Manufacturing it, an old knotting technique is employed, which has been passed on over many a generations of Asian artisans. At present, only craftsmen in Thailand are still proficient in exercising it. For this reason, the product's origin does not seem to concur with our philosophy 'Made in Europe', its aspects of sustainability and the traditional manufacturing process leading to this product, are so exemplary in our eyes, that SunBRELLI has to stand a chance at Fair-kaeuflich.DE. The story: BRELLI is a wholly owned subsidiary of PAM&Co. The BRELLI is a brainchild of Pam Zonsius, CEO of PAM&Co. As a New York based entrepreneur, businesswoman and mother, she is duly concerned with treading lightly on our planet and leaving it better than she found it. The inefficient design and wasteful nature of conventional umbrellas caught her eye one windy, rainy afternoon in NYC and stuck with her once the rain stopped and she picked her way through streets littered with inside-out, broken and discarded umbrellas. That very afternoon, the concept of the BRELLI was born: a durable, smarter design, which - at the end of its long and useful life - will biodegrade completely and leave nothing more than an excellent memory.
