Die T+A Decoder DD 1210, DD 1230, DD 1510 und DD 1530 besitzen einen 5.1 Input in Form einer DB 25 Pin-Schnittstelle. Soll eine Mehrkanal-Quelle mit eigenem, eingebauten Decoder (z.B. BD 1260 R, SADV 1250 R V60) über den Cinch RCA Mehrkanalausgang an den Decoder angeschlossen werden, ist dieser T+A Surround Adapter 5.1 DB 25 auf Cinch RCA (6) notwendig.
