An extraordinary example of functional ecodesign!
The Kuu-lamp is an extraordinary example of functional ecodesign.
It all started by Anuraks desire to create an outstanding design piece that would only use as little natural material as possible. The result is a design classic that requires very little inches of solid maple or plantation teak. A new method of veneer shading was specially developed to make the veneer stronger. Each veneer has an individual mask that gives the piece its characteristic appearance. The lamps are 100% handcrafted in a local workshop near the designers house under fair and ecologic conditions. The number of lamps is limited. No chemicals are used in the finishing process.

Due to its outstanding design and philosophy Juno won multiple national and international design awards (“G-Mark” Japan, “Design Excellence Award”). Anurak even got the Gold medal as “Designer of the Year”. He lives with his wife and his three children in Bangkok, Thailand.

Each Kuu floor lamp evolves from ecological and fair processes and thus is in accordance with our corporate mission. Therefore we are pleased to have added it to our product range even though it is not 'Made in Europe'.
