Reading rat n Surprisingly, worm and rat are related to one another. At least in the world of the book-reader. The English 'bookworm' is also known as 'Leseratte' ('reading rat') in the German language area. And both love books above all else!

1. It has not yet been sufficiently researched if the reading rat indeed occurs in the animal kingdom. But it is well-known in the world of the two-legged animals (cf. 2.).
2. A 'dissimilar relative' to the common bookworm. This drolly rodent sits in armchairs and lies in warm beds. Here it gnaws through books, which it proficiently holds in ist front paws. As far as its ingestive habits are concerned, the r. keeps to a strict diet: It consumes whole heaps of books, only occasionally accompanied by a sweet cookie.
