The ATOLL tealight, a colourful, highly popular design whose rounded contours show off the unique character of the glass to perfection.

Anna Ehrner joined Kosta Boda in 1974 following graduation from the National College Arts, Crafts and Design in her hometown, Stockholm. Specializing in ceramics in college, Anna learned the art of glass design and production in practice. In 1979, she took leave to study at the celebrated Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington. She was also the director of the glass design programme at her alma mater from 1985-1989, and taught there from 1992-1995.

An experimental stylist who works in many techniques, Anna creates pieces distinguished by simple, powerful forms and her great skill in using colour to create shimmering effects. Swirling veils of colour within the glass, in fact, are something of an Anna Ehrner signature.

Anna has created some of Kosta Boda's most successful and collectible lines, including her Atoll series of bowls and the elegant Line glassware series.
